From the first time he stepped onto a film set, Orlin Grozdanov knew he was meant to build worlds.
Over the past two decades, he has transformed that passion into a remarkable career as a Production Designer, shaping the visual stories of films across the globe.
His creative home is Bulgaria, where he has crafted much of his best work and forged long-standing collaborations. From there, Orlin’s journey stretches across borders — from the bustling studios of the United Kingdom, through the sunlit coasts of Greece, the historic streets of Romania, and into the vivid landscapes of Morocco. Each place leaves its mark on his eye for detail, atmosphere, and storytelling.
Along the way, Orlin has collaborated with some of the industry’s leading production companies, including Disney, Netflix, Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Paramount Pictures, Lionsgate, and many others.
He has worked side by side with renowned directors such as Danny Boyle, Joachim Rønning, Patrick Hughes, Rod Lurie, and Marcus Nispel, and has shared sets with stars like Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek, Javier Bardem, Jason Momoa, and Daisy Ridley.
Among his most notable projects stands the legendary franchise Hellboy, where Orlin brought his vision to life as Production Designer on Hellboy: The Crooked Man, directed by Brian Taylor and starring Jack Kesy — the newest entry in the iconic series.
This project marks a defining moment in his career, blending his love for dark mythologies with his signature sense of texture, realism, and cinematic scale.
His artistic signature can also be seen in major international productions such as Red Sonja, The Outpost, Young Woman And The See, Till Death, The Expendables, The Hitman’s Bodyguard, T2 Trainspotting, London Has Fallen, and Loving Pablo — each demonstrating his skill in visual storytelling and world-building.
For Orlin, every project is more than a job — it’s a chance to create a world that feels alive. Whether he’s designing a gritty battlefield, a mythic realm, or an intimate interior, his goal is always the same: to serve the story through design.
